Background
The County of San Mateo provides many comprehensive services in the area of public safety and criminal justice, including police and fire services as well as those provided by the County Courts, District Attorney’s Office, and the Probation department. Collectively these groups interact with and serve hundreds of thousands of County residents, and having robust communication and information systems is critical to their effective performance both for daily activities as well as in times of emergency.
