Craig Wiesner is a United States Air Force veteran who served as a linguist and intelligence analyst in Korea and as an instructor at the Defense Language Institute. Craig graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1986, He led education departments in several pioneering networking technology companies before launching an e-Learning company with his husband Derrick in 1996. Working for peacemaking and social justice throughout their lives, Craig and Derrick were part of an interfaith peace delegation to Afghanistan after September 11th. After presenting about Afghanistan and the looming war in Iraq at Palo Alto High School, a student stopped them on their way to their car, saying "I don't know what you two do for a living but whatever it is, you should quit. You should be doing what you did in that classroom, teaching about peacemaking." Later that year they launched Reach And Teach, a peace and social justice learning company which today has a brick and mortar shop in San Carlos. Craig was married to Derrick in 1990 at First Presbyterian Church of Palo Alto, where Derrick currently serves as an elder, and they share their home with their dog Holly. Craig is also a columnist with the San Mateo Daily Journal.
